Physician Referral Letter

ABC Physical Therapy has long been committed to providing the highest quality of therapeutic interventions to meet the needs of our patients. Our goal is to achieve the most positive rehabilitation outcome in the most efficient manner for each of our patients. To support this effort ABC has recently adopted into our practice and interventions a state of the art piece of equipment known as The UE Ranger.

The UE (Upper Extremity) Ranger is a motion assistive device designed to compliment the natural physiological processes and movement relations of the full upper extremity. The UE Ranger offers a balance between the necessary support and challenge requirements of patients striving to return to their full health and functional capacity. These capabilities prevent the production of harmful stress to healing structures and avoid the promotion of compensatory movement patterns.

This capacity offers our patients the most positive opportunity to achieve their goals.
Listed below are persons with such pathologies that would benefit from the interventions our Physical Therapist’s perform along with the support of The UE Ranger. Please call to discuss your questions regarding our services.

Upper Extremity Impairments shown to respond favorably from interventions involving The UE Ranger:

  • Muscle weakness
  • Muscle spasms
  • Neurological injury
  • Limitations of joint motion (Post Rotator Cuff Repair)
  • Soft tissue adhesions,( Post-Mastectomy)
  • Swelling
  • Pain
  • Compensations or dyskinetic movement patterns
  • Apprehensiveness.

Rental Agreement

Maximizing clinical outcomes is best achieved when your patients are provided with a UE Ranger for the support of their home exercise program. This allows your patients to produce with precision your prescribed exercises in their home, thus supporting progress between clinical interventions as well as positive carryover.
This approach not only benefits your patients, but can offer your clinic a financial return. Stocking an inventory of UE Rangers allows you to issue a rental agreement to your shoulder patients. Consider the following business design:

  1. Patient writes a personalized check as a deposit for the total value of the UE Ranger.
  2. Patient agrees to pay two dollars per day of use.
  3. Upon return of the UE Ranger, the patient receives their deposit back, less the number of days they rented the UE Ranger.
  4. In some case the use will exceed the cost of the UE Ranger. In this case the patient may want to own their own UE Ranger in this case you can resale the UE Ranger with a mark up.

* This can produce per patient, a cash income over and above your billable units.
