Design Elements
The UE Ranger
This rehab tool is designed to securely support an un-gripped hand and promote a relaxed upper extremity. The molded plastic palm is grooved to comfortably receive a left or right hand and is compatible with a wide range of hand sizes. Coupled with articulating rubber joints, the hand support and base plate supports multi-plane mobility with cushioned end ranges in both weight bearing and non-weight bearing applications.
The telescoping guidance tubing and adjustment-locking collar allow for the fitting of varying individual patient heights and arm lengths. The UE Ranger provides a wide diversity of rehabilitation interventions and progressions of intensity for all impairment levels.
* The UE Ranger contains no latex in any of its component parts.
The UE Ranger’s design mirrors the assistive properties required of the motion producing nervous system and coordinated biomechanics in a manner complimentary of the underlying healing tissues, as well as, strengthening and endurance requirements.
The Wall Mount and Door Mount
The Wall Mount (Clinic application [pictured top right]) and Door Mount (Home application [pictured bottom right]) support a sequence of closed kinetic chain applications (the most balanced progressions of gravity opposed AAROM) of the full shoulder girdle and its supportive kinetic chains. The first level of effective strengthening is getting the right messages - to the right muscles and with the right intensities. These two devices support patient specific interventions related to enhancing motor control, dynamic stabilization, functional flexibility and endurance requirements of healthy movement capacities.
The Movement Health System combines the capacities of the UE Ranger and either the Wall Mount (Clinic application) or Door Mount (Home application) into a seamless multitude of patient presentations from acute stage, to complete recovery. The rehabilitation professional will be empowered to most efficiently and effectively care for the needs of their patients and referral sources.
